Learn how to upcycle any article of clothing into the DIY piece of your dreams!! In this workshop, Valentine (he/him) will go over basic hand sewing, decorative patch making methods, and other tips n’ tricks for punky DIY. Please bring your own article of clothing you’d like to customize and we’ll supply the rest!

This is a chain mail crash course. We will cover rings, opening and closing rings, and work on either a bracelet or keychain (or you could do a pair of earrings) . We have pliers, but you are welcome to bring your own. We do have materials to help make pliers more ergonomic, so if you’d like to explore that, please do bring your own pliers. They just need to be non-ridged, bent-nose, flat-nose, or nylon. Something with a flat line surface works best and you will need two pairs.

We are delighted to host a workshop for chainmaille beginners, or for those who might want a relaxed place to craft. We will be creating a basic Helm Weave and will go over opening and closing links, design elements, and finishing techniques. If you have jewelry pliers you would like to make more ergonomic, we have a few different wrapping materials you can try with your own pliers.

Workshops are $20 per person and will result in a keychain or bracelet in bright aluminum and your choice of colored anodized aluminum. If you don’t quite have enough time to finish, we’ll package up the materials so you can complete them at home.

We have vendor tables open for Dogtober Fest. The event is an adoption collaboration between the Broken Arrow Animal Shelter and Village Vet here in the shopping center. The adoption event will be outside and will include kid-friendly amusements, live music and food trucks.

The Diversions vendor event will be inside the Diversions Crafting Studio. We are currently full on jewelry vendors, but are looking for all kinds of handmade crafts. NOTICE: we have received reports of scammers attempting to collect money for table spaces. We absolutely will not aggressively pursue money from you. We are so excited for the craft sale this Saturday, July 29th!  We have 13 local artisans on our roster, but we are currently closed to new vendors.

We will have quite a variety of goods for sale, including:

Jewelry:  Beading, crystal, Native, Choctaw diamonds, assemblage pieces and flower crowns

Art:  Abstract, pet portraits/portraiture, acrylic and resin on canvas

Fabric:  Ribbon skirts, handmade crafts, wristlets, pacifier clips, bookmarks, sewing projects, etc.

Crafts:  Candles, crochet, knit items, and more

Explore the creation of a pendant or earrings with molded UV resin. Workshop is $20 and includes the molds, resin and findings to complete your pieces. You’ll leave with a pendant for a necklace or earrings to wear or gift away.

We are offering a beginners crochet project. Create either a small granny square or washcloth. Yarn and hooks will be provided. If you’ve wanted to try your hand to see if you might like crocheting, this is the perfect opportunity. If you are more experienced and would just like the company or to provide your own guidance, feel free to bring our own project.
