Diversions Overview

Diversions Crafting Studio is an arts and crafts studio and focused maker’s space with facilities to make fun and functional items, as well as providing a creative space to work on your own crafts or to try something new.

We are dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive place for individuals or small groups to create useful and artistic items.  The focus of the maker’s space will include anything that might be used to create a prototype of a boardgame.  We hope to see boardgames play-tested on site, as well.

Services:

·         Glowforge Pro 45w laser cutter/engraver (materials must be approved by the studio)

·         Drawing tablet for creating digital images (Windows based)

Color Studio:

·         Color additives for resin or acrylic

·         Low dust zone for resin curing

·         Air compressor and heat guns

·         Glitter, glass, and metallic inclusions

·         All resin waste is responsibly disposed of

Art supplies:  we have many different types, but here is a list of media for sketching and painting.

·         Paper:  watercolor, marker, sketch

·         Charcoal

·         Sketch pencils, including Prismacolor Ebony, Blackwing 602, Faber Castell graphite 8B

·         Prismacolor colored pencils

·         Derwent watercolor pencils

·         Watercolors, including Daniel Smith, Japanesque Shadow Black, Windsor and Newton, Paul Rubens metallic 24 color set, Coliro metallic 6 (gold, pearl, pearl black)

·         Variety calligraphy supplies to try, including pens, nibs, and inks/watercolors

Miniature Painting Station:

·         4-person station with assortment of detail brushes

·         Compressor with airbrush

·         Magnifying desk lamps

·         Vallejo miniature paints

·         Army SpeedPaints

·         Set up for assembling Warhammer figurines and for any detailed painting jobs

Retail Co-op:  access to the retail front end and web store, which is currently in the design process.  For people who would like to create a ‘for sale’ product on premises and sell in our stores.  One advantage is access to retail storefront for staging product photographs.
